I am a seventh-generation Nashvillian and Candidate for Metro Council. I attended Lipscomb Academy and the University of Tennessee. I now work in the financial services industry as an analyst. I have witnessed the growth and explosion of our city firsthand; and I have a forward-thinking vision for our community, one that works towards innovative solutions that address current challenges while anticipating and planning for future needs.
I want to see the soul of our city restored and preserved. For far too many years, outside interests have been dictating our day-to-day lives. We have all seen the traffic, out-of-control tourism, and unsustainable growth. Someone with a bold voice needs to stand up for the voters of District 34.
So many of our resources as a city are being used for large events and downtown happenings. Our police, EMTs, and fire departments have been strained by tourists. Routine maintenance often goes overlooked in our neighborhoods to tend to the interests of the entertainment industry. This doesn't necessarily benefit the citizens of District 34. We need to ensure that basic city services are being performed as promised.
Nashville is simply out of control. We are at a point where the budget is not going to support our long-term expenses. We must manage these costs and make sure that property taxes do not have to be raised, expecially on the elderly. I am not here to grandstand or make a big political name for myself, but rather fight for what the residents actually care about.
Growing up in one of the best communities in America taught me the true meaning and importance of Integrity, Passion, Commitment, and Service. These are values I will take with me to the Council.
I am asking for your vote because as your Councilman I pledge to always advocate for practical and evidence-based solutions, actively seek your feedback to inform my decisions, and work tirelessly to represent our shared interests and concerns.

As Nashville continues to grow into a top tourist destination, we must implement responsible and sustainable tourism practices that minimize negative impacts on the environment, the local community, and businesses. I believe we need to balance the needs of tourists with the needs of the local community by regulating tourism activities, limiting the number of tourists, managing crowd density, and regulating tour operators and vacation rentals.
We need to take a hard stance against some of the dangerous practices the tourism industry is carrying out. We must make them pay for the strain that they are placing on our infrastructure and resources. We should empower our police, healthcare workers, and teachers to do the job they wish to do; rather than catering to tourism and outside interests.
We must promote reasonable tourism practices that include smart waste management, resource conservation, and traffic control. It is paramount that we educate tourists about responsible behavior; such as respecting our culture, not bothering our schools and businesses, and following our laws. We must encourage responsible tourism that respects local customs and traditions.
To ensure that the community benefits from tourism, I will engage with local stakeholders in tourism planning, efforts to support local businesses, promote local products, and create opportunities for residents to participate in the tourism industry. I will prioritize the preservation of culture, protect historical sites, ensure safety, promote local art, and preserve local traditions.
One of my top priorities in office will be to prioritize public safety and support those who serve our city, including firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other first-responders. We will work to allocate resources to law enforcement, invest in community development programs, provide support services for at-risk individuals, and promote community engagement and partnerships.
To reduce crime comprehensively, we will collaborate with community organizations, city officials, and law enforcement agencies, including the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD). We will support community-based initiatives, such as neighborhood watch programs, increasing law enforcement's capacity to act, and building outreach programs that aim to address the root causes of crime.
For far too long, we have been allowing developers to ruin our once-peaceful neighborhoods. The council has been too intimidated to stand up to these companies. Many of them are out-of-state, held by Real Estate Investment Trusts, and looking to make a quick buck off of our town then leave us with the consequences. As a financial professional, I with pick apart and scrutinize these entities and demand that they develop in a responsible way.
One of the most crutial tasks of a Metro Council member is zoning. I will lead the way on making sure that our properties are not split up and subdivided. The Metro bureaucrats like lot-splitting and high density zoning because it brings more property tax, but I simply do not care. Bring that rubbish to another district or town. Leave us alone to preserve our beautiful community.
Rather than spend millions more on tourism and sweetheard deals, we must priortize the upkeep of our roads, waste management systems, and utilities. These are essential responsibilities of our local government and they are currently being overlooked.
Traffic congestion is also a critical issue that must be addressed to improve mobility, reduce wasted time in traffic and improve the quality of life for residents.
I will prioritize the development of smart transportation systems (such as intelligent traffic management), synchronized lights, and using bus routes to their maximum potential.
I will work implement feasible, fiscally-responsible solutions to this problem. We need to make sure the cost does not outweigh the benefits. We are growing quickly and must act immediately.
To address traffic congestion and improve infrastructure comprehensively, as your Councilman, I will engage in open and transparent dialogue with residents, businesses, and local government. We will work collaboratively to develop strategies and policies that support responsible transportation practices in Nashville.
As your elected representative, I will fight for District 34's interests when it comes to congestion.
Working as a financial analyst, I understand that controlling debt is crucial for ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of Nashville. Accumulating excessive debt can lead to a range of negative consequences, including increased interest payments, reduced credit ratings, limited borrowing capacity, and decreased ability to fund essential services and infrastructure projects. Out of control unmitigated debt will burden future generations with financial liabilities, impede economic growth, and limit the ability to respond to unexpected challenges or emergencies.
Prudent debt management is essential for maintaining fiscal discipline and ensuring that we operate within our means. As your councilman I will ensure careful planning, budgeting, and oversight to avoid over-reliance on borrowing and to prioritize essential expenditures.
Responsible debt management promotes transparency and accountability in local governance. It involves regular monitoring, reporting, and disclosure of debt levels, interest costs. I believe this fosters trust and confidence in the city's financial management practices, enhances credibility in the financial markets, and protects the long-term financial well-being of the community.
Your support and contributions will help us make Nashville the thriving community that it was meant to be.
